Team Announcement: ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2026

British Ice Skating can confirm that Team Icicles Junior will represent Great Britain at the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2026, taking place in Gdańsk, Poland from 13–14 March 2026.


British Ice Skating and the Performance TAC would like to congratulate Icicles Junior and wish the entire team the very best of luck as they take to the ice on the world stage.

About the ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships 2026


The ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships is the premier global event for junior-level synchronized skating teams, featuring two competition segments: the Short Program and Free Skating.


The 2026 Championships will be staged at Hala Olivia, with both the main and practice rinks located within the same venue.


Key dates and schedule


A preliminary event schedule has been published by the Organising Committee (subject to change).


Friday 13 March 2026

  • Opening Ceremony on Ice – 16:00 local time

  • Short Program – 17:00 local time

Saturday 14 March 2026

  • Free Skating – 14:00 local time

  • Victory Ceremony (following the event)


Note: Poland is typically one hour ahead of the UK at this time of year.

Fans can keep up with the Championships via the official ISU event hub (entries, schedule updates, results and standings).


For those watching from home, the ISU lists YouTube as a streaming option for synchronized skating in many territories (availability can vary by country), but this will be confirmed closer to the date of the competition.


About Team Icicles Junior

Team Icicles Junior are based in Nottingham and skate as part of the Nottingham Synchronized Skating Academy.

On the ISU roster, the team is listed with 19 skaters, with Esther Morris and Lauren Kelly named as coaches. Icicles Junior have been British Champions nine times and have represented Great Britain at the Junior World Championships on multiple occasions, coming into this event fully established on the World stage.


They also head into 2026 with strong recent world championship experience: at the 2025 Junior Worlds in Gothenburg, Team Icicles Junior finished 11th overall with a season-best total score of 148.61.
