ICE DANCE
Ice dancing is a popular recreational sport as well as a major focus point of all international competitions...
It has been a mainstay of the Olympic Games since 1976 and like competition-level pair skating, it is elegant and dazzling. It doesn't include the jumps, over-head lifts or extended spins you’d expect to see in figure skating, however ice dancing places greater emphasis on the way skater move to the rhythm of the music.
It is also the only ice-skating discipline where competitors can use music with vocals; in many ways, ice dancing is thought of as ballroom dancing on ice.
