Seven skaters have been selected to represent Great Britain across World Tour 1-5, following the Performance Selection Event in Nottingham.

We are pleased to announce that British Ice Skating's 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be taking place: 10:00 AM Sunday 6th December Glacier Suite - Ice Sheffield Coleridge Road S9 5DA Virtual attendance is also available, but only members attending in person (or who have arranged a proxy vote in advance) will be able to take part in any voting activity at the meeting. Short track speed skating takes centre stage at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham on Friday 11 September, with two exciting competitions taking place alongside each other. The BIS Short Track Open will give athletes of all ages a chance to test their competitive skills, while the BIS Short Track Speed Skating Performance Selection Event will see some of Britain’s leading short track skaters battle it out for the chance to represent Great Britain on the international stage

We have been made aware of a scam within our ice skating environment involving children/young people being contacted via TikTok and encouraged to send photos of themselves. The scammer then uses AI to create an inappropriate image of the child/young person and threatens to distribute it unless money is paid. The police are aware of these incidents.
