The 2025 British Ice Skating Annual General Meeting took place this morning, presenting key organisational updates to members and taking members' votes on important decisions.


The meeting was chaired by Adam Binns, Independent Chair of the British Ice Skating Board. Members joined in person and virtually, with the agenda including two resolutions for voting on, the results from the recent Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) elections, and the announcement of special awards.

Award Announcements

The recipients of the European Trophy, the Vandervell Trophy and Honorary Life Membership Awards were announced:

European Trophy

Awarded annually to athlete(s) based on performance at Europeans level in the preceding season.


The 2025 Trophy was awarded to Anastasia Vaipan-Law and Luke Digby for their 5th place finish at the 2025 European Figure Skating Championships, the highest Pairs results at a European Championships for over 30 years.

Vandervell Trophy

Awarded annually to athlete(s) based on performance at Worlds level in the preceding season.

The 2025 Vandervell Trophy was awarded to Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson for their bronze Ice Dance medal at the 2025 World Figure Skating Championships - the first British figure skating world medal in over 40 years.



Honorary Life Membership Awards

Awarded annually to recognise and thank members who have contributed to the success of British ice skating in an outstanding manner. The recipients announced were:

Ricci Hodgson and Jo Hodgson, for their incredible dedication to ice skating through the creation and growth of SPICE, through which they have been teaching children and young adults with additional needs to ice skate in a calm and caring environment for over twenty years. Resolutions Passed

The meeting included two resolutions for members to vote on - one approving the minutes from the 2024 AGM, the other reappointing UHY Hacker Young LLP as auditors for the next financial year. Both resolutions were passed.


2024-25 Annual Report and Financial Accounts

The 2025 Annual Report and Financial Accounts are now available for members to view. Abigail Hughes, Independent Non-Executive Director for Finance, provided key finance highlights at the meeting, with the caveat that a full set of audited accounts will be presented to the membership in due course.






Full minutes of the 2025 AGM will be available to members shortly. British Ice Skating would like to thank everyone who attended and stood for election, and who has contributed to a positive and productive year for the organisation.
