Adam Binns: Independent Chair of the British Ice Skating Board
With over 25 years of executive and board experience across sports, media, and governance, Adam brings a unique blend of strategic insight, commercial acumen, and values-led leadership to the role.

Adam said:
“It is a real honour to be joining British Ice Skating as Independent Chair at such an important moment for the sport. I would particularly like to thank David Thomson and Robin Cousins for their steady and generous stewardship as Interim Chairs and for the warm welcome I’ve received from Board members, the executive team, and the wider skating community.
Denise and I look forward to supporting the BIS team in delivering against its goals — elite competitive success over the next six months, and championing inclusion and safeguarding, and growing participation and visibility across the UK in the longer term.
We will strive to ensure that BIS continues to strengthen its collaborative leadership, engage meaningfully with funders and stakeholders, and create the conditions for our skaters, clubs, and coaches to thrive at every level.”
On Adam's appointment, British Ice Skating President Robin Cousins noted:
“We are confident Adam’s experience and leadership will help drive our vision of elevating British Ice Skating to even greater success; we extend our congratulations on his appointment and offer him a warm welcome to the BIS team!"
