From 21st-22nd August the inaugural Robin Cousins Cup took place in Sheffield, England. An ISU international figure skating competition for singles and pairs, the Cup has been named in honour of legendary British figure skater Robin Cousins MBE, to celebrate his outstanding contributions to the sport.
With athletes from 13 nations in attendance, the event was an exciting chance to showcase international figure skating talent in Sheffield just five months before the city will host the ISU European Figure Skating Championships in January 2026.
British Ice Skating would like to say thank you to everyone, - from the athletes and their teams to the officials, volunteers and spectators - who helped contribute to the success of the event, which we hope will become a regular fixture on the international skating calendar.
May this inaugural edition of the Robin Cousins Cup be the beginning of a tradition that continues to inspire and unite our skating community for many years to come. ISU President Jae Youl Kim
