British Ice Skating is proud to support Get Set for Milan - Team GB and ParalympicsGB’s official Milano Cortina 2026 activity programme - helping children and families across the UK get active, try new things, and build healthy movement habits in the countdown to the Winter Games.

At its heart, Get Set for Milan is a team-based challenge: children (primarily aged 5–11) and their families log activity minutes that convert into virtual kilometres, powering their team across a digital map from Milan to Cortina, “visiting” real Games venues along the way.
And it’s already making a real impact.
Since launch, 40,848 young people have taken part, logging an incredible 294,755 minutes of activity (that’s nearly 5,000 hours) - with 500+ teams already on the move across the Milano Cortina map.
What is Get Set for Milan?
Get Set for Milan is designed for schools, families, and local communities - with fun, inclusive ways to get moving wherever you are: in the classroom, at home, at a club…even dancing in the kitchen counts.
Participants travel virtually in teams, following Team GB and ParalympicsGB athletes as they make their journey to the Games, unlocking venue facts, motivation, and athlete content as they progress.
Getting started is simple:
Register / sign in to Get Set for Milan
Create a team (school, community group, or family)
Kick things off with the free Launch Assembly (perfect for schools)
Log activities and watch your team move across the virtual Milano Cortina map
Every active minute logged becomes virtual kilometres, moving your team closer to Cortina.
Eligibility note: anyone can join and log activity, but rewards/incentives are aimed at UK primary-aged children and their families.
