Are you ready for an international figure skating event in the UK? The Britannia Figure Cup, a new addition to the international calendar this season, will take place at iceSheffield over three days starting tomorrow (Friday 26th).
Appearing in the Senior categories will be Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson. They will skate in the Ice Dance on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th. Competing alongside them, also representing Great Britain, will be Eleanor Hirst/Anthony Currie and Charlotte Man/Toby Palmer.
In the Senior Women there are four British skaters. Rebecca Gillespie, Emily Hayward, Nina Povey and Genevieve Somerville. Lydia Smart and Harry Matick are the sole entry for the Senior Pairs.
The competition’s opening day, Friday 26th, will see the Short Program for several categories including Advanced Novice Girls, Advanced Novice Boys, Junior Men, Junior Women, Junior Pairs and Senior Pairs.
Saturday has a packed schedule, running from 09:30 until 19:00. Sunday brings the event to a close, with the Senior Men and Women Free Skates, as well as Ice Dance Free Dances for Advanced Novice, Junior and Senior.
