The long wait for the return of British Ice Skating (BIS) events was finally ended as Young Stars got underway last week.
The competition saw more than 150 skaters take part in Sheffield over three days.
From beginner ladies aged eight and under to level two men there was a wealth of talent on display, with fantastic performances throughout. Each skater was cheered on enthusiastically by parents, coaches and fellow competitors.
All results were officially recorded and can be found here.
There were a range of masterclasses available for skaters to join with on ice sessions run by Olympic gold medallist Robin Cousins, British Champion PJ Hallam and Olympian Kathryn Hudson.
Kelly Buddery took skaters for an off ice class whilst Andrew Hibberd led an UK Anti-Doping seminar.
On behalf of BIS a huge thanks must be passed on to all those who volunteered for the event. This includes everyone who ran a masterclass, judges, officials as well as parents and coaches who attended the event with skaters. It was fantastic to see people back at a live BIS event and it could not happen without our dedicated volunteers.
