British Ice Skating has confirmed the athletes who will represent Team GBR at the ISU Short Track European Championships 2026, taking place in Tilburg, Netherlands from 16–18 January 2026.
The event is one of the biggest dates on the European calendar and a key moment in the season - a chance for Britain’s short track skaters to convert their winter form into results against the continent’s best, in front of a packed arena and a global online audience.
Staged at IJssportcentrum Tilburg, the Championships bring together Europe’s fastest and most tactically sharp skaters for three days of explosive racing, split-second decision-making, and full-throttle finishes.

What To Expect
Across the weekend in Tilburg, Team GBR will race the individual distances - 500m, 1000m and 1500m - where short track is won by a mix of raw speed, smart positioning and perfectly timed overtakes. Annabelle Green will line up in all three women’s distances, while the men’s entries see Niall Treacy and Theo Collins across the full set, with Peter Riches adding depth in the 1000m and 1500m. Willem Murray and Adam Hill are also in Tilburg as part of the relay squad, providing depth, speed and tactical options as Team GBR targets strong performances across the team events alongside the individual races.
The team arrives off the back of a busy ISU Short Track World Tour season, with valuable racing miles and momentum from competing against the world’s best - and Tilburg is a major opportunity to turn that into big results on the European stage.
For Niall Treacy, the Championships also carry extra significance as the final major event before the Winter Olympics, where he has been selected to represent Team GB and will compete across all three distances.
