British Ice Skating can confirm the Grand Prix assignments for Great Britain’s senior ice dance teams for the 2026/27 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating – the first major international series of the new Olympic cycle. World medallists Lilah Fear & Lewis Gibson have been handed two starts, at Skate Canada and Cup of China, while Phebe Bekker & James Hernandez return to Skate America for their second senior Grand Prix campaign.
Two assignments for Fear & Gibson

Fear & Gibson will open their Grand Prix season in Canada before heading to China, with two events reflecting their standing among the world’s leading teams:
Skate Canada – Kelowna, British Columbia: 30 October – 1 November 2026
Cup of China – Shenzhen, China: 6 – 8 November 2026
The pair arrive into the new season as the most decorated ice dance team Great Britain has ever produced. In 2025 they won World Championship bronze – Great Britain’s first ice dance medal at a World Championships in more than four decades – having already become the first British team to medal at an ISU Grand Prix Final with bronze in 2024 and then again in 2025. Now eight-time British champions and Milano Cortina 2026 Olympians, Lilah and Lewis carry real momentum into the opening series of the cycle.
With two assignments to bank results, a strong autumn could put them firmly in contention once again for a place at the illustrious ISU Grand Prix Final in Chongqing, China (10 – 13 December 2026).
Bekker & Hernandez back at Skate America

Phebe Bekker & James Hernandez have been awarded a single Grand Prix start, returning to the event where they made their senior debut last season:
Skate America – Everett, Washington, USA: 13 – 15 November 2026
The assignment marks the next step in a steady senior progression for one of Britain’s most exciting young teams. Twelve months on from an eighth-place finish on their senior Grand Prix debut at Skate America, and a tenth-place result at Finlandia Trophy to close out their first senior Grand Prix season, Bekker & Hernandez return to the circuit with valuable experience behind them and the chance to keep closing the gap on the world’s most established couples, especially after their phenemonal debut Olympic performances earlier this year.
About the series
The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating is the sport’s flagship autumn series, made up of six invitational events staged across the globe. The 2026/27 calendar runs from late October to late November:
Grand Prix de France – Angers (23–25 Oct)
Skate Canada – Kelowna (30 Oct–1 Nov)
Cup of China – Shenzhen (6–8 Nov)
Skate America – Everett (13–15 Nov)
Finlandia Trophy – Helsinki (20–22 Nov)
NHK Trophy – Tokyo (27–29 Nov)
The leading skaters across the series qualify for the ISU Grand Prix Final, bringing the season’s best together in Chongqing in December.
Looking ahead
Both British teams now turn their focus to pre-season preparation and new programmes ahead of their opening assignments. British Ice Skating will share full “how to watch” details, schedules and start times closer to each event, and looks forward to following Lilah, Lewis, Phebe and James throughout the 2026/27 Grand Prix season.
