The ISU Short Track World Tour moves into its European leg this week, with the British Royals travelling to GdaĆsk, Poland for World Tour #3 (20â23 November) â the third of four Olympic qualifying events on the road to Milano Cortina 2026.
Following two high-intensity weekends in MontrĂ©al, the Tour now switches to Hala Olivia in GdaĆsk before concluding in Dordrecht, Netherlands, next week (World Tour #4, 27â30 November). These competitions form part of the ISUâs âSkate to Milanoâ campaign, with results feeding directly into the Olympic Qualification Classification that decides how many places each country earns for Milano Cortina 2026.

Same Royals squad â plus a new face
The British Royals line-up in GdaĆsk is the same squad that opened the Tour in MontrĂ©al, now strengthened by the addition of Holly Hoyland to the womenâs team.

All three British women will skate 1500m, 1000m and 500m:
Holly Hoyland â 1500m, 1000m, 500m

Peter Riches â 1500m, 1000m
Kyle Ross-Waddell â 500m
Jonathan Moody â 500m
Willem Murray â Relay
The team once again competes under the British Royals banner, highlighting the collective strength of Team GBR's Short Track programme as athletes work together to secure crucial Olympic quota points for Great Britain.
Why GdaĆsk matters for the British Royals
With two of four World Tour stages already completed, GdaĆsk marks a key turning point in the season. The World Tour rankings are based on each skaterâs best three results per distance, and Olympic qualification also uses results from the Tour â meaning there is still everything to play for over the final two stages.
Strong performances here can:
Boost individual World Tour rankings
Improve Great Britainâs position in the Special Olympic Qualification Classification
Build momentum heading into the final stage in Dordrecht and the rest of the Olympic season
