British Ice Skating is set to host a series of international high-performance training camps in 2026, delivered in partnership with the ISU Development Program as part of the wider ISU Mission 2030 strategy.
Designed to support the next generation of Olympic athletes, the camps will bring together skaters and coaches from across the world for an intensive programme of technical, artistic and performance development.
Taking place in Nottingham (25th – 29th May 2026) and Sheffield (20th – 24th July 2026), the camps will provide a unique opportunity for athletes across all figure skating disciplines - Singles, Pairs and Ice Dance - to train within a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Who are the camps for?
Aimed at athletes and coaches across the performance pathway, the camps are designed to support development at every stage of progression.
Senior skaters refining technique and performance skills
Junior skaters targeting future Olympic qualification
Advanced Novice skaters seeking international exposure
Coaches working with performance pathway athletes
Why participate?
Participants will benefit from a comprehensive programme designed to enhance performance, knowledge, and international readiness, including:
Access to world-class coaches and ISU experts
Exposure to international training standards and judging expectations
Development across technical, artistic, and performance components
Education in media engagement, safeguarding, and athlete profile development
Opportunity to benchmark athletes within an international training environment
Key Development Areas
In addition to on-ice and off-ice technical refinement, skills development, rules understanding and educational sessions, the camps will place particular emphasis on areas aligned with the ISU Vision 2030:
Artistry & Performance Development
Enhancing skating skills, creativity, movement quality, and choreographic expression, encouraging athletes to develop authentic and engaging performances.
Media & Athlete Profile Development
Supporting athletes in understanding media engagement, personal branding, and safeguarding in a digital environment, including best practice for maintaining integrity and managing public exposure.
Camp Overview
The program is delivered across two camp options, each offering a comprehensive high-performance training experience over 5 full training days, featuring 2–3 on-ice sessions per day alongside 1–2 off-ice sessions, including strength and conditioning, choreography and technical refinement.
Athletes and coaches will also benefit from educational workshops, ISU Rules updates, and direct feedback from ISU officials, with additional opportunities for extra ice time and private lessons.*
*This will be possible on case by case basis upon request.
Program Moderators
The camps will be led by a world-class team of international coaches, choreographers and ISU experts. Bringing together leading figures from across the sport, the programme offers athletes direct access to elite knowledge and experience across all disciplines.
Moderators may also bring some of their own skaters to aid with demonstrations - this will be confirmed closer to the camps.
Alongside our moderators, we will also be joined by a variety of support guests (sports psychologist, West End Theatre expertise, contemporary dance instructors, safeguarding officers, athlete wellfare support etc), as well as GBR Performance Coaches.
