We are proud to announce the launch of the British Ice Skating Coaching Awards 2025 – a celebration of the outstanding dedication, skill, and passion that coaches bring to the sport across the UK.

These awards honour the individuals who inspire, guide, and shape skaters at every level, from beginners to elite athletes.
The Coaching Awards aim to recognise not just technical excellence, but also the mentorship, innovation, and unwavering support coaches provide both on and off the ice. Whether it’s developing future champions or fostering a love for skating in local communities, these awards shine a spotlight on the professionals driving the future of ice skating in the UK.

If you know someone who deserves to be recognised for their coaching work, you can submit a nomination for them now!
Winners will be selected from the nominations received, with finalists announced in October and winners announced at a Community Celebration event in November. For all awards except Coaches' Coach of the Year (where number of nominations will be a shortlisting factor), shortlisting will be based purely on the quality of supporting statements/evidence provided, not on number of nominations a person receives.
Please note: nominations for current BIS Staff cannot be accepted for these awards.
Below you can find the full set of award categories and criteria for each category. To submit a nomination for the coach you think deserves to win an award, head to our online nomination form:
