We’re looking for six skaters to volunteer as BIS Ambassadors, helping to promote ice skating in the UK and raise awareness of British Ice Skating values, events, and projects. We’re interested in hearing from skaters with a wide variety of backgrounds; if you’re over 18, passionate about ice skating and love sharing your experiences on social media, we want to hear from you – no matter what length of time you’ve been skating or what standard you currently skate at!
What will the BIS Ambassadors do?
Be an advocate for BIS, embracing and promoting our values, particularly around equality, diversity and inclusion.
Take part in BIS photo shoots and other promotional activities as needed.
Model and promote BIS merchandise.
Share key BIS messages through shared and original social media content.
Spread their love of ice skating everywhere they go!
What will the BIS Ambassadors get?
A pack of BIS merch (up to 12 items!)
Technical skating support from our Development Team and officials.
One BIS event entry fee covered per season.
Boosted profile for their own channels.
Advice and guidance from our Communications Team on developing their own social media presence.
Discount on BIS camps and courses.
Application Process:
Complete the online application form by 4th October.
Our Review Panel will shortlist against the following criteria:
Commitment to our mission to ‘make ice skating inclusive and accessible to all.’
Confidence, enthusiasm, and passion for the sport.
Existing social media engagement and reach.
Ability to act as a positive role model for the organisation.
3. Those shortlisted will then be invited for a short online interview.
