Bekker & Hernandez set for senior Grand Prix debut at Skate America

After an incredible 2024–25 season, British ice dance duo Phebe Bekker and James Hernandez take to the international stage this weekend as they make their senior Grand Prix debut at Skate America in Lake Placid, New York.

The reigning British silver medallists made a major breakthrough last season, earning strong results at both the European and World Championships and securing a second Olympic quota spot for Team GB in ice dance - a historic achievement for British figure skating.

Building on that momentum, the pair now head into Skate America looking to make their mark among the world’s best in this crucial pre-Olympic season. A key moment in their season will come later in November when they return to Sheffield for the 2026 British Figure Skating Championships - the same city that will host the ISU Figure Skating European Championships early next year. Both events offer exciting opportunities for home crowd support and pivotal performances in the lead-up to the Olympic year.
