Phebe Bekker and James Hernandez have made British skating history as the first-ever GB skaters to qualify for a Junior Grand Prix Final.
In a remarkable season so far the duo picked up a silver medal at the Ostrava leg of the series, the first-ever Ice Dance medal for Great Britain. They then went on to mirror that result in the first of two Junior Grand Prix to take place in Gdansk.
Skaters are awarded points based on their final placement at Junior Grand Prix events. The top placed six skaters in each category earned a place at the Junior Grand Prix Final that will take place in Turin, Italy from 8th-11th December. The competition will take place at the same time as the Senior ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final 2022.
The other five Ice Dance teams set to skate are:
Kateřina Mrázková / Daniel Mrázek (Czech Republic)
Nadiia Bashynska / Peter Beaumont (Canada)
Hannah Lim / Ye Quan (South Korea)
Darya Grimm / Michail Savitskiy (Germany)
Célina Fradji / Jean-Hans Fourneaux (France)
