All you need to know about the British Speed Skating Championships

The British Speed Skating Championships take place this weekend in Nottingham, with more than 50 skaters set to race at the national competition. Spectators are welcome for free at the two-day event that will see some thrilling racing alongside fun exhibition races at the National Ice Centre.


The provisional timetable has been published and can be seen by clicking here. Please note that this is subject to change.


The report time on Saturday is 9am, with anyone arriving early encouraged to help set up the on-ice barriers. Warms up will then follow from 10am, with the Opening Ceremony due to take place at 10:15.


Sunday’s report time is 8am, with warm ups starting at 9am. The final ceremony is scheduled to begin at 12:45 on Sunday afternoon.
