Phebe Bekker and James Hernandez continue their 2025–26 international season this week at the ISU Challenger Series Trialeti Trophy in Georgia.
The pair opened their Olympic season strongly last week at the Trophée Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur, where they claimed silver with a combined score of 175.29. The result underlined their progress following a breakthrough 2024–25 season, during which they secured Great Britain’s second Olympic ice dance quota place for the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Games.
Programs for the Season
Rhythm Dance: Freedom – George Michael
Free Dance: Romeo & Juliet (1996 film soundtrack)
These new programs were well-received in Nice and will continue to be refined as the season progresses toward the European and World Championships.
Building on Last Season’s Success
Bekker and Hernandez established themselves as one of Britain’s leading ice dance teams last year, delivering strong performances on the Challenger and championship circuits. Their results culminated in earning an additional Olympic quota place for Team GB, confirming their position among Europe’s rising ice dance pairs.
Their participation in the Trialeti Trophy marks the next step in preparing for a demanding season that includes further ISU Challenger events, the European Championships, and ultimately selection for the 2026 Olympic Games.
