NSA Archives from the 1800s

Do any of our member have any archive material from the 1800s?

We are looking for the very old archives from the foundation of NSA in 1879 until about 1891.

We realize that such ancient material may be lost - but our hope was that it might be stored in some other major archive - as in Cambridge, at the British Archives or elsewhere.

Specifically we are searching for all ice hockey related notes from the NSA - it might be letters, manuscripts, correspondence, protocols, photos etc

We know that the NSA published the first European rules regarding hockey on the ice in the early 1880s - we have copies of those rules but not much more.

We also know that the first British Clubs playing ice hockey were founded in the late 1870s and the 1880s - and that those clubs were very much involved with the NSA.

Several UK-researchers are doing this work together with us - as Martin C. Harris (London), David Gordon and Hugh Dan McLennan (Scotland) - so if we could discover the NSA archives our friends
might be able to make a careful examination of the material.

Please contact Carl Giden c.giden@gmail.com if you are able to help.
