Synchronized Team Selection Procedure 2009/10

Full details will be included in the updated International Selection Manual and it should be noted that selection is generic throughout all disciplines.

• Synchronized Teams may enter overseas national / club international competitions themselves only needing to register this information with the Sue Marshall in the NISA Office to ensure Eligible status is maintained.

• Scores from these and also GB National events will be entered on the National Ranking Lists, subject to confirmation of correct panels and results system.

• Teams reaching the minimum score for inclusion in the Regional Development Pathway Team may apply to represent GB at ISU recognised Novice, Junior and Senior International competitions listed on the ISU calendar and these will be allocated subject to rankings and scores as decided by the Performance/Development sub group.

RDPT qualifying scores for 2009/10 are:

Novice 25.00 FP
Junior 100.00 SP+FP
Senior 112.00 SP+FP

Teams may be accepted to the RDPT at any time in the season.

• Scores from Full International and ISU Events will also be added to the NISA Ranking Lists.

• Teams reaching the minimum score (from any of the above Events) for inclusion in the Performance Team may represent GB at ISU Championship events (subject to International Selection Manual criteria).

Performance Team qualifying scores for 2009/10 are:

Junior 35 SP only
Senior 40 SP only

Teams may be accepted to the Performance Team at any time in the season.

• The selection to ISU Championship Events is based on the following calculation at the closing date of the Event (or as at British Championships if this date is later)

Performance Team

British Championship score X 2 plus highest score from a Full International or ISU Event

In exceptional circumstances the Performance/Development sub-group may select a non-Performance Team and would normally consider RDPT Teams first.

• All selections are subject to NISA Board ratification

• Ranking lists from 2009/10 will determine the early allocation to RDPT and Performance Teams for 2010/11. Further teams may be added throughout the season.
