Synchronized International Event Selection Policy

The policy for selection to all Synchronized events outside the UK has now been agreed by the NISA Board and will shortly be included in the updated NISA International Selection Manual.

In order to be consistent the Synchronized selection policy is now generic with all other Figure Skating disciplines.

-A Development/Performance Selection sub group will be appointed by the Board in consultation with the Performance and Development Directors.

- Synchronized Teams may enter national/ club/ international competitions themselves only needing to register this information with the Julia McMurray in the NISA Office to ensure Eligible status is maintained.

-A ranking list will be set up for Novice,Junior and Senior teams from points attained from national/international events using the unadapted IJS system. The first edition of the ranking list will be published on the NISA web site as soon as possible after the Scottish Festival of Skating

-Teams may apply to represent GB at ISU recognised Novice,Junior and Senior International competitions listed on the ISU calendar and these will be allocated subject to rankings and scores as decided by the Development/Performance sub group. (Minimum standards will apply and will be announced shortly)

-Teams who meet the Performance Team score which will be announced shortly may be allocated to ISU Championship events.
Further details will be included in the updated International Selection Manual.
