Development and Performance Announcement
NISA is pleased to announce the launch of the new Development and Performance structure which includes Regional Development Pathway Teams (RDPT) in addition to the NISA Performance Team.
All volunteers, coaches and judges who have registered an interest to assist with these Regional Development Pathway Teams will be contacted in due course and NISA thanks them for their offers of support.
The flowchart and the explanatory notes illustrate how the new structure will function.
The first stage in setting up the Regional Development Pathway Teams (RDPT) system is to acknowledge talented skaters in order that they may have the opportunity to apply to access any possible available funding. Further information regarding Performance and Development Teams will be available in due course.
Skaters may apply to be accepted to the RDPT by submitting RDPT test application forms which include IJS/RJS test and age confirmation according to the Talent Identification Criteria for tests.
Applications by test will commence prior to 1st July 2009 but with an age criteria of 1st July 2009.
As at 1st July 2009 referees of RJS (6.0) Open Competitions and NISA Championships will be responsible for completing Talent Identification reports with the names of skaters who meet the Talent Identification Competition Criteria.(to be published shortly)
Ages set against Talent Identification Criteria for 2009/10 may be subject to change if necessary once the first applications and recommendations have been received and considered
The RDPT will include both RJS and IJS skaters and team members will be announced at the end of April with additional skaters added as they apply and qualify.
Members who have been involved in the consultation process should ensure that they do not refer to any documents dated prior to 6/4/09 as many changes have been incorporated.
