Ice skating: Lorna is fire on ice

SUPER skater Lorna Thomson is burning up the ice with a string of successes in the last few months.

Competing at figure skating, she was first in the Ayr Open level one and Magnum annual level one. She was also fifth out of 14 in level two at the Dundee Open.

Lorna, a fifth year pupil at Queen Margaret Academy, was second overall competing in speed skating at the Sheffield Open. She had three personal bests at the Magnum Open.

In the Scottish Championships, she was third in figure and fifth in speed skating.
