SHE travels the world performing for sell-out crowds with extravagant costumes and amazing ice skating tricks.
Now Holiday On Ice skater Georgia Whelan is backing the campaign to bring a new ice rink to Southampton so the city can enjoy some of the spectacular shows that wow audiences across the globe.
The 22-year-old from the Isle of Wight has just returned from Rio De Janeiro as a performer in the travelling ice show which attracts thousands of spectators and said she would love to coach younger skaters in Southampton.
"It would be great to have a rink in Southampton," she said.
"The Holiday On Ice comes to Brighton, London and Cardiff every year but to perform it here would be a great thing for the city."
Georgia has spent four years with the show which earlier this year added former England rugby player Kyran Bracken to the line up for its 2008 UK show Holiday on Ice Romanza, after he won the popular television show Dancing On Ice.
