SHEFFIELD IJS PROVISIONAL TIMETABLE

Further to the announcement of the provisional daily scheduling it has been necessary to amend the order of events to fit within the available ice time and the availability of officials.

The number of competitors is larger than any previous IJS event and because pad 2 ice is only available for a short period each day it is impossible to run this event as proposed at the start of the season.i.e. reduced practices over fewer number of days to reduce costs for skaters, coaches and NISA.

An additional restriction is the length of time a judge/techncial official should be expected to officiate without a substantial break.

It was possible for senior ladies men and all pairs to skate short and free programmes on Friday to reduce the length of the week but following consultation with the Coaching Director it was agreed to allow two days for these events. As ice time is readily available on Saturday, two individual practices will be provided for these skaters.

Elimination will take place to 24 for the free programmes with the proviso that any skater within 10% of the short program test pass score will automatically qualify.
