NISA ANNOUNCES CHANGE TO AGM DATE

Following the NISA Board meeting held on Tuesday 12th February, the Board has agreed to change the previously announced date of the AGM. The new date will be Saturday 14th June commencing 12.30 at the Milton Keynes Ice Bowl. The meeting will now incorporate an EGM which will allow members to submit resolutions and also give NISA an opportunity to present proposals to continue to modernize our Memorandums and Articles of Associations. The new Companies Act 2006 will have an impact on small businesses such as ourselves and it is appropriate, in the Board’s view, that NISA should take advantage of some of the proposals contained within the new Act.

The timetable leading up to the AGM/EGM will be as follows:

w/c 10th March 2008 – Notice to all eligible voting members requesting any items/resolution for inclusion in the EGM
15th April 2008 – Closing date for submission of items/resolutions
6th May 2008 – NISA Board meets to finalise all EGM resolutions
23rd May 2008 – Notice provided to all eligible voting members of
the following:
o AGM Agenda
o Abbreviated accounts 12006/07
o EGM agenda
o EGM Resolutions

14th June 2008 – NISA AGM/EGM 12.30 Milton Keynes Ice Bowl

Over the next few months, the NISA Board will be holding a series of consultation sessions with members to discuss their proposals for amendments to the memorandums and Articles. Dates and venues for these events have yet to be agreed but will be announced on the website within the next 10 days
