Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Checks

NISA has partnered with Capita Recruitment Vetting Service (CRVS) to offer a cost effective, simple and secure solution for all members to provide an end-to-end service for completing and renewing CRB checks.

What are CRB checks?
CRB checks are a way of checking people’s history to make sure they do not have any convictions that might mean they are not safe to work with vulnerable adults or children. CRVS offers checks called Enhanced Disclosures which need to be renewed every three years. Enhanced Disclosures show a person’s conviction history (offences they have been found guilty of), other information that might be considered relevant, and whether or not they are banned by the courts from working with children.

These Disclosures cannot be obtained by members of the public and are only available to organisations such as NISA.

How much do they cost?
NISA members can get CRB checks for £36.00 for the Disclosure plus £15.00 + VAT administration.

How can I get a CRB check?
To get your CRB check you will need to contact CRVS direct on the number below. Let CRVS know that you are a member of NISA and quote your NISA Membership Number to get the NISA rate. CRVS will then supply a CRB Disclosure form for you to fill in.
