Six podium places for GB skaters at the Open D'Andorra

GB skaters performed fantastically at the Open D’Andorra this weekend, including six podium finishes for our skating stars.

Dundee’s Natasha McKay (pictured) skated brilliantly to finish in first place in the Senior Ladies category while former British Junior Champion Katie Powell finished in fifth.

Senior Ice Dance couple Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson narrowly missed out on a podium place, finishing in fourth at the Palau de Gel Canillo.

There was another podium place in the Junior Ladies, with Anastasia Vaipan-Law scoring an amazing 120.11 to finish in second in Andorra.

In the Junior Ice Dance, Sasha Fear and Elliot Veburg skated excellently to finish in third. While talented twins Clare and Tom Whalley finished in tenth.

In the Advanced Novice Boys, Edward Appleby achieved first place, scoring new PB’s in both his Short and Free programmes.

Edward’s brother, Elliott, shared the same success, coming first in the Basic Novice B Boys category.

Harmony Pond and Peter Nicoll skated incredibly well to finish first in the Basic Novice Ice Dance.

Rebecca Geddes skated also well to come in seventh in the Basic Novice A Girls category.

Congratulations to all of GB skaters at the competition.
