Phillip and Brandon Represent Great Britain at NRW Trophy

This week, 25th to 29th November, skaters from across the globe will descend on Dortmund, Germany for the NRW Trophy, including Phillip Harris and Brandon Bailey of Great Britain.

The international competition for figure skating and pair skating is organised by Eissport Verband NRW and sees Ladies, Men and Pair skaters compete in Senior, Junior, Advanced and Basic Novice categories.

Phil, 25 and based at Coventry Ice Rink, will represent Great Britain within Senior Men and will compete against 19 skaters from the likes of Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands. The NRW Trophy will be Phil’s last competition before his focus will turn to the British Championships at the beginning of December. It will be here Phil will hope to renew his Senior British Champion title. 

Brandon, 12 and based at Whitley Bay Ice Rink, will skate within Basic Novice A Men against skaters from Germany and France. Brandon claimed gold in his category at IJS Sheffield in August and will hope to transfer his talent and skills onto the world stage at his first ever international competition.
