Junior GB skaters attend competitive week in St. Gervais

Four junior skaters headed to St. Gervais, France last week to represent Great Britain at the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating. The competition took place from the 24th to the 28th of August and is part of a series of seven international events which lead up to the ISU Junior Grand Prix Final in December.

Junior Ladies skater Kristen Spours returned to the ice after a successful 2015-16 season. Following her short programme she was lying in 16th position, and an overall score of 107.39 following her free skate saw her place 13th in the competition.

Graham Newberry took to the ice in the Junior Men category, and placed 12th overall at the close of skating with a score of 154.18. Junior Ice Dance Couple Sasha Fear and Jack Osman also placed 12th in their category, achieving an overall score of 95.73.

Both Spours and Newberry competed in the first competition of the ISU Junior Grand Prix last year in Bratislava, and both have improved both their scores and competition ranking this year.
