High hopes for skaters competing at the Nebelhorn Trophy this week

Great British skaters are competing at the Nebelhorn Trophy competition in Oberstdorf, Germany this week, with the action starting today (Thursday). Part of the Challenger Series event will see skaters from several countries compete in Senior Men, Ladies, Pairs and Ice Dance from 22nd to 24th September.

Senior Ice Dance couple Ekaterina Fedyushchenko and Lucas Kitteridge placed second at last year’s British Championships in the Junior Ice Dance category. Having moved into the senior category they competed at IJS Sheffield last month, where they again enjoyed a second place finish.

Karly Robertson, who also kicked off her season with a second place finish at IJS Sheffield last month, will be skating in the Senior Ladies category.

The Nebelhorn Trophy is one of the oldest international figure skating competitions and is held in high regard in the figure skating calendar. It is an annual senior-level event organised by the Deutsche Eislauf-Union.
