Complete the NISA AGM Survey
Now is a vital time for NISA, with change essential to both fully implement our new 10-year strategy to develop and progress Ice Skating in the UK, and to meet the Government’s new Code for Sports’ Governance.
Meeting the Code is mandatory to receive future funding, something NISA needs to move the sport forward, and the deadline is 31st December 2017.
These changes cannot be achieved without the support of NISA members through a democratic voting process. The amendments to the Articles of Association – the rules which govern how NISA operates – did not get passed at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in August, so the intention is to hold an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) in December.
However, first and foremost we want feedback from you, the members, as we recognise there was not enough consultation, and the process was over-complicated.
Please take the time to fill out this short survey, whether you voted at the AGM or not. It will help NISA better understand and address concerns, improve communication about the need and rationale for change, and give everyone a say about how we move forward together.
