Over the weekend, Olympian and Short Track Speed Skater, Elise Christie took home gold and silver medals from the second ISU World Cup in Toronto, Canada.
Her successful weekend came after the GB Short Track team have been training in Canada for a week since the first ISU World Cup in Montreal.
Christie led the way in day one at Toronto with a time of 44.670 seconds achieving gold in the 500m. Her performance saw her beat European Champion Lara van Ruijven and Olympic silver medallist Fan Kexin.
The following day, Elise followed up her gold medal with silver in the 1000m event. Having been forced to go wide when double Olympic gold medallist, Jorien ter Mors, fell in front of her, she fought her way back to the pack and edged the silver medal with a lunge to the line.
