This week British Skaters are preparing to compete at one of the most-looked-forward-to events on the international Adult Figure Skating calendar; the 2nd Swan Challenge in Bled.
This is the 2nd Swan Challenge, with the first being held back in 2016, and includes Ice Dance, Free Skating, Pair Skating, Artistic and, for the first time, Solo Dance.
The event will see skaters from at least 15 different countries perform on the ice, all with sights firmly set on podium places at the prestigious competition. A full competitor and results list can be found here.
Britain will have a strong amount of representation at the event, with 57 skaters heading out to compete in disciplines across the board.
Competitors will also be able to make the most of off-ice ballet workshops and on ice seminars, led by British NISA Coaches and Competitors Pat and David Arnold.
David said: “We are so excited to attend the 2nd Swan Challenge of the year, this is a very big event which sees the bar set higher each time.
“We have plenty of great British skaters attending in all disciplines, and they’ll also be able to attend useful seminars and workshops.
“We’re keeping our fingers crossed for some medals but to have such fantastic representation at this international competition is a great indicator for the growth of British Adult Skating in itself.”
The event will kick off on November the 2nd and run until the 5th. The full schedule can be found here. Here at NISA we’re wishing all of our brilliant Adult British Skating Team the very best of luck!
