A Weekend of Success at the British Synchronised Championships

Over the weekend, on Saturday 16th to Sunday 17th January, top teams from across the UK descended on the National Ice Centre, Nottingham to compete at the British Synchronised Skating Championships.

The annual competition saw over 700 individuals, comprising 58 teams ranging in age from 10 to 50 from all corners of the country, descend on Nottingham to compete for national glory. With an arena full of supporters and a thrilling atmosphere, the weekend proved to be a success.

Synchronised Skating Director at the National Ice Skating Association, and Chairman of the ISU Synchronized Skating Technical Committee, Chris Buchanan said;

"The British Synchronised Skating Championships is a highlight in the synchronised calendar; full of exciting skating with the spectacle of up to 16 skaters performing difficult and risky manoeuvres on the ice in perfect unison. It’s a great chance for skaters of all ages to come together and show the country what they have to offer.”

We would like to congratulate everyone who participated in this year’s competition, as well as thank all of our volunteers and staff that helped the event to run smoothly.
