Nottingham born skater Jack Burrows has been brought up in a sporting family, but first took to the ice aged ten
Jack progressed to speed skating at eleven and progressed through the Talent ID scheme to join the National Development squad at the start of the 2013/14 season.
In the 2014/15 Jack has had great success bringing home three Silver medals from the Belgium leg of the Star Class, one for his overall points and for placing second in the 500m and 1000m.
He was also crowned National Junior Champion in the 500m and 1000m at the British Short Track Championships 2015
ON THE ICE
What is your favourite distance to skate and why? 500M because of the high speeds, and the strength and ability to hold it all together in the corners.
What element of speed skating do you enjoy the most? The high speeds and the unpredictability of racing
What would you consider to be your greatest sporting achievement to date? Winning a Youth Winter Olympic gold medal in Innsbruck, Austria in 2012
What is your sporting ambition? To be the best in the world at what I do, also to win that all important Olympic gold medal

Have you got any sporting family members? Both my parents were sporty, but my dad played semi-professional football for Norwich City Football Club
