The Squad

NISA Long Track has the following teams/squads:

National Youth Team:

The National Youth Team participate in the European Youth Championships (Viking Race), held in Heerenveen, The Netherlands, each year in February or March. The team is selected on the basis of their Medal Test Times and the NISA Junior Qualification Route qualification criteria. The Team covers each of the following age groups:

  • Youth B
  • Youth A
  • Jun C1
  • Jun C2
  • Jun B1
  • Jun B2

with a maximum of 1 boy and 1 girl per age group

National Junior Team:
The National Junior Team participate in the ISU Junior World Cups. The team is selected on the basis of their Medal Test Times and the NISA Junior Qualification Route qualification criteria. The Team covers the age groups:

  • Jun B1
  • Jun B2
  • Jun A1
  • Jun A2

Development and National Team:

The Development Team is open to skaters demonstrating the potential to compete in ISU World Cups within the next two years. The National Team consists of those skaters who have qualified to compete in the ISU World Cups according to the NISA criteria. The teams are selected on the basis of their Medal Test Times and the NISA Qualification Route qualification criteria and are invited to train together in Haarlem, The Netherlands, where there is easy regular access to excellent training facilities, training partners and coaches.
